The Messe Frankfurt is one of the world’s largest trade fair companies, which puts on various trade fairs throughout the year all over the world, ranging from the Frankfurt Motor show to the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Frankfurt is home to many cultural and educational institutes such as The Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. There is also a host of museums such as Stadel, Naturmuseum, Senckenberg, Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt and Goethe House. There are two major botanical gardens in Frankfurt; The Palmen Garden/Palmengarten and The Botanical Garden of the Goethe University. Due to these attractions and many more, Frankfurt had 4.3 million tourists in 2012 which was an all-time record for the city. This figure represents a double in visitors since 1999.
