There are two major botanical gardens in Frankfurt; The Palmen Garden/Palmengarten and The Botanical Garden of the Goethe University. Due to these attractions and many more, Frankfurt had 4.3 million tourists in 2012 which was an all-time record for the city. This figure represents a double in visitors since 1999.
